The Keychron Q8 is intended to be a highly customizable keyboard. Every component is designed to be easily assembled and “MOD” to your liking.
Double Gasket Mount
The Double Gasket Mount design is a significant improvement over the conventional Gasket Mount. In addition to the Gasket arrangement on the PCB, the Q8 also has an additional layer of silicon pad between the upper and lower frames. This is to minimize the sound resonance of metal parts as well as noise during use.
This design allows the Q8 to retain significant flexibility while enhancing the overall experience in keystroke sound.
OSA PBT Double-Shot Keycaps
Keychron has introduced a new keycap profile on the Q8. This profile has the same height as the OEM profile and the same shape as the SA profile. Keychron calls this the OSA (OEM rounded edge) profile.
Double-Shot PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, preventing the character surface from fading over time and providing a comfortable typing feel on the fingertips.
Convert MacOS and Windows easily
Built with the Mac user experience in mind, while still maintaining compatibility for Windows devices. The Keychron Q8 comes with an OS switch button and an additional set of custom keycaps, compatible with both Windows and MacOS. Now you can easily switch to the right layout with just the flick of a switch.

Custom knob
Designed to enhance your creative workflow, the advanced rotary encoder lets you customize your favorite key shortcuts and macros, all easily via the innovative VIA software.
With the improved VIA software, you can easily customize the Q8's Knob for your desired key or macro command such as: zoom in/out, adjust screen brightness, brush size, volume, etc.
Hot-Swap
Keychron Q8 is equipped with Hot-swap on PCB. Thanks to that, you can easily replace Switch quickly without de-soldering. With this feature, you can freely create unique typing experiences.
In addition, Hot-Swap on Q8 supports 3-pin or 5-pin Switches and is suitable for most 3rd party Switch brands such as Cherry or Kailh.
Gateron G-Pro Pre-Lubed
The Keychron Q8 uses the new generation of Gateron switches. This version has significantly increased the stability of each click and enhanced the feeling at your fingertips. In addition, the switches have been lubed from the factory. This will definitely bring you the best typing experience from the first time.
New In-Screw PCB Stabilizers
With a fixed screw-on PCB design, it increases stability and reduces wobble compared to the in-plate Stabilizers layout. The large keystrokes (space, shift, enter, delete) are now more stable and smooth. The Keychron Q8 also supports third-party Stabilizers such as Cherry or Durock.
