Nội dung bài viết

Following the previous success of inCharge 6, Rolling Square - a crowdfunding group from Sweden has launched the next generation of this cable called inCharge X. The highlight of inCharge X is the better quality of the finished product, and this is also the world's first compact keychain cable that supports fast charging with a capacity of up to 100W.

inCharge X is a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo. If you are interested in the product, you can pre-order here: inCharge X - The 100W Swiss Army Knife of Cables | Indiegogo

    Detailed specifications of inCharge X:

    - Size: 72x15x6.4 mm

    - Weight: 27gr

    - Data transmission speed: 480 Mbps / 60 MBps

    About the exterior design

inCharge X has a total of 3 colors for us to easily choose from: Lava Black, Sapphire Blue and Marble Beige.

The SiliconZ version on hand this time is Lava Black - lava black with a solid aluminum shell, the surface is smooth so it feels quite cool to the touch, the finishing quality is also quite good, there are no unnecessary details on the product. The joint between the cable head and the connecting wire is integrated with a high-traction N52 magnet, so it will not easily fall off if the wire is attached to the key. The cable is covered with a thick, sturdy fabric layer on the outside.

The inCharge logo is embossed on the aluminum layer, the print is quite sharp, especially the SiliconZ version ordered from the manufacturer does not show any printing errors, a fairly common error on the inCharge 6, maybe this version has been completely fixed by the manufacturer.

inCharge X also has a longer cable version with a length of 1.5m, suitable for charging Macbooks as well as more convenient when you charge your device far from the charging source.

The charging head design of inCharge X this time is also different from inCharge 6, instead of using 2 default connection heads, USB-A with Type-C like the previous inCharge 6, in inCharge X the type-C head has been replaced with a Lightning head integrated with Micro USB. In addition, with the Type-C standard supporting up to 100W capacity, providing the ability to quickly charge Macbook as well as other Laptop products that support charging via the type-C port.

With the design of changing the charging head on inCharge X this time, there will be two type-C heads, one head is integrated inside the USB-A port, one head is integrated inside the Lightning & Micro USB charging head.

    About the features

Supporting fast charging with 100W capacity is a big change on inCharge X this time when compared to inCharge 6. inCharge X currently holds the title of the most compact charging cable on the market while integrating many different charging standards with the world's first 100W capacity support. Just equip a 100W fast charger, you can use 100W fast charging with inCharge X.

In addition, when testing charging on iPhone 12 Pro Max, the device still receives a maximum capacity of 20W, however, SiliconZ checked and found that inCharge X has not been MFI certified, but with only a compact charging cable that supports 20W fast charging for iPhone 12, SiliconZ thinks this will be the most worth-buying charging cable on the market today.

With the fast charging test for Macbook Pro 15 2016 with a specialized charging measuring tool, the Macbook received a capacity of 80W, not 100W as announced by the company. I don't know if the first batch SiliconZ received the current capacity may not be stable or not, but with a capacity of 80W, I find it quite good compared to what inCharge X brings.

However, the data transfer speed on the product is not improved compared to inCharge 6, inCharge X still only supports data transfer at 480mpbs, equivalent to 60mb/s of the old USB 2.0 standard, quite slow, according to SiliconZ, inCharge X should not be used to transfer large amounts of data.

According to the test of transferring a 1GB video file from an SSD hard drive connected to an inCharge X cable to a Macbook, it takes nearly 2 minutes to transfer data. Meanwhile, if using the cable that comes with the SSD hard drive, it only takes a few seconds to have data.

    Summary

With a unique design inherited from inCharge 6 and a compact size that can fit in a pocket or be used as a keychain, along with many advanced charging technologies integrated into a small cable, inCharge X is the most worth-buying cable on the market today. In the near future, SiliconZ will officially open the sale of inCharge X, let's wait for this compact 6-in-1 charging cable.
